In laboratories and Industries where precision supply voltage is essential to avoid damage in costly equipments and instruments, use of servo controlled voltage stablizer are recommended. This type of voltage stablizer provides desired output voltage, either in single phase or three phase with a minimum of variation i.e. ±1% with an wide input range starting from 90V-265V in the lower side & 220V-290V on the higher side for single phase stabilizer & 160V-500V in the lower side and 380V-500V on the higher side for 3Phase variety as per customers specification.
A Servo Controlled Voltage Stabilizer essentially consists of a variable auto transformer (variac) coupled with a servo motor, a buck-boost transformer and an electronic controller. A sample output is taken and compared with a reference standard. The difference is called Error signal which is used to drive the servo motor for output voltage correction.
Stabilizers for balance load and supply systems can be used when variations in input supply voltage (phase to phase or phase to neutral) in all three phase are almost equal. In this Stabilizer a single 3 phase variac coupled with one drive motor is used for voltage correction. Output of any one phase of the three phase is selected and monitored to actuate the drive motor.
Stabilizers for unbalanced load and supply systems can be used where the three phase voltages vary in an unbalanced manner. These Stabilizers have three nos. single phase variacs individually coupled with drive motors. Each drive motor along with electronic controller is entrusted to take care of one phase to neutral voltage and load variation independently. In other words these stablizers are a combination of three nos. Single Phase Stabilizers connected in STAR configuration.
Fiji Electronics Pvt. Ltd. manufactures Servo Controlled AC Voltage Stabilizer of various capacities starting from 0.5 KVA to 20KVA in single phase and 3KVA to 1000 KVA in Three Phase.
